A rose is a rose is a rose - Gertrude Stein

This Famous quote by Gertrude Stein is usually seen in the postmodern context, especially after the Second World War. The Second World War did a lot to bring forward new writers and new forms of writings, including Earnest Hemingway and Kurt Vonnegut. Traumatic experiences are very difficult to write about but can also be very rewarding. Writing about the experience is cathartic but at the same time can also generate creativity.
